In-Kind Gifts: Goods and Services
Making an in-kind donation to Bluegrass Land Conservancy is a wonderful way to make an impact. Instead of giving money to be used to purchase needed goods and services, the actual goods and services themselves are given. And you can take a charitable deduction for the full fair market value of the gift.
Gifts ranging from graphic design and printing services, to auction items of a week-long stay at your beach house or cabin, can all be donated. As the old saying goes, “money saved, is money earned.” In-kind contributions alleviate expenditures and allow us to invest those funds into our mission of protecting the Bluegrass Region through land conservation for future generations.

Workplace Giving: Employee Matching Gifts
Many workplaces recognize their employees’ desires to do good and have chosen to partner with their employees to support their favorite nonprofits with easy gift matching programs.
Employers typically match donations from employees up to a certain dollar amount per employee, per year. Employees often do not know about this opportunity being offered by their employer to match charitable gifts. Inquire with your company to find out if you have a workplace matching program to take advantage of — there is potential to double or even increase your gift by up to 200 percent!
Not sure if something you have to give qualifies as an in-kind gift? Are you a business owner interested in setting up a Matching Program?
Contact Amy Samples, (859) 255-4552, to discuss the finer details of either, or both, of these generous giving options.
