Bluegrass Land Conservancy

Limestone Land Trust, in Louisville, and Bluegrass Conservancy, in Lexington have merged to create the largest regional, accredited land trust in Kentucky. Bluegrass Land Conservancy now spans Kentucky's two most populated metropolitan areas, covering the very best farmland in the Commonwealth, with 25,792 acres of land already protected. This merger is a bold move to protect the Bluegrass region for current and future generations, with a focus on prime farmland soils, scenic open space, water resources, natural areas. rural heritage, and, of course, agricultural viability.
