The Conservation Awards recognize people outside BLC for their important work in land conservation.
This year’s Kentucky Land Conservationist Lifetime Achievement Award recipient is Lendy Brown, who has dedicated herself to promoting Kentucky’s rich heritage by serving on numerous boards that protect and educate on the unique qualities of our Commonwealth, including the visual, economic, and historic impact of the Thoroughbred industry.
Kurt Mason, the 2024 Mary Louise Allen Award recipient, is a former Urban Conservationist for Kentucky and widely respected for his work in natural resource management where he focused on connecting people and communities with opportunities to address natural resource issues on agricultural, suburban, and urban landscapes.
We are proud to honor their significant impact throughout the commonwealth!
As a nationally accredited, community supported, 501(c)(3) nonprofit land trust, we work to protect the Bluegrass region of Kentucky through land conservation for future generations.
